History[]

The Matrix Resurrections (2021)[]

Deja vu lives with the Analyst in the Matrix. He is present in the Analyst's office when Tom goes to his therapy sessions.

The cat was seen during Morpheus' attempt to free Tom from the Matrix (as a visionary tool); and the cat was seen when the Analyst speaks to Tom after the workplace shootout in his office about when fiction blurs the lines of reality.

Deja vu was seen in the climactic Simulatte brawl in the film, behind the coffee counter. The Analyst tried to reach his cat, but the cat fled in the chaos. At the end of the fight, Deja vu was held by their owner as the Analyst ordered a Matrix lockdown and a swarm. The Analyst and his cat were then shot by Smith and the two seemed to be killed.

At the end of the film, Deja vu was seen outside the Analyst's house was Trinity flew there, and was held by Neo as the Analyst was hit by Trinity.

Trivia[]

  • Deja vu's name is derived from the Matrix franchise concept of the same name.
  • It is unknown who the cats portraying Deja vu are (because the cat was portrayed with both real cats and CGI).
