- Be nice and civil: Do not make personal attacks on other people and do not use bigoted language.
- Be helpful, productive, and understanding: Contribute in line with the established/observed processes and conventions. Don't know where to begin? Visit the Community page. Need help? Ask on any talk page, on the Administrators' noticeboard, or on Discuss. (Sign your posts on talk pages (using
~~~~) to foster collaboration). - Don't plagiarize content: Authors like to be credited for their work. So remember to cite authors and sources properly. Do not assume that anything is open for the taking and make sure you have the permission to use something before you copy it. Please follow the rules for attribution when you do reuse.
- Do not spam: The Matrix Wiki is a collaborative community resource and is NOT a free place to advertise your related website, YouTube channel, blog, social media account, etc. While limited self-promotion is allowed in Discuss, excessive self-promotion is considered spamming.
- Do not harass other users: If somebody asks you to stop posting certain content on their wall, respect their wishes. It is their wall.
